Ok, ok..I know it has been a long time since my last journal entry so this is going to be a long one. And there is so much to catch you all up on... so this is going to be a long one. Since November 2010 I have been taking regular trips to Nashville in pursuit of my dreams. I have also been writing a lot! I now have 11 original songs ... and I love them! It is so much fun to sing your own songs. I have been able to write with some amazing writers in Nashville. I have also been meeting with leaders in the industry. I am so excited about what the future holds and everything that's been happening. My next big events are coming up very soon...I am singing for NASCAR at the Richmond Intl Raceway on April 29th and opening for Country hit duo Thompson Square in Chesapeake on April 30th. This has been an extremely busy weekend! But...extremely FUN too! It all started off with
us heading off to Richmond, Va, where I sang the National Anthem at NASCAR's Nationwide Series event at Richmond International Raceway.
It was my first Nationally televised event. There
was even a fly-over by A-18 jets. I had an
amazing time! I never knew how fast or loud those cars would be..it was crazy! The next day..April 30..I had the awesome opportunity to open for Thompson Square, David Nail, and Ashton Shephard at Eagle 97's March of Dimes fundraiser. I got to perform 6 of my original songs..one of them was "Summer Day" that I co-wrote with Will Rambeaux and Sherrie Austin. Will Rambeaux co-wrote Faith Hill's #1 hit "Wild One"..how cool to get to write with such great writers. Talk to you soon...

I just got back from an amazing trip with my family...we spent a week in Florida. It felt so good to spend time in the sun after a long winter. I have been so busy with school, guitar and all the other things lately...it was great just to get away for a while. I am so looking forward to summer! Since I have been back, I have been working on a song idea that came to me while I was on vacation..so Fun! It has a really cool sound. I am heading back to Nashville in June. I am going to be performing at a "writers in the round"
with some of the writers I have been writing with over the past few months..I think it is being scheduled at The Listening Room. I will keep you up to date on that when I know...

It has been a few weeks since my last trip to Nashville. I always have a great time when I go. Again, I had the opportunity to write with some of Nashville's finest. This time my co-writes included Annie Tate who has written three #1 hits, including, "Moments" by Emerson Drive and "If you're going through Hell" by Rodney Atkins. I feel so blessed! I also wrote with Jenny Gill (Vince Gill's daughter). We wrote a really cool song together called "He Ain't Foolin' Me". My other 4 co-writes were with Karyn Williams, Sam Cooper, Sandy Ramos, Sherrie Austin and Will Rambeux. I now have 5 new songs, all of which I love, to add to my list. The total is now 17 songs. I can't wait till my next trip. Other than my music, I am really enjoying the Summer and being out of school! :) Talk to you all soon.

Hey there everyone. I have exciting news!! I have a new baby brother. He was born a few days ago and he is sooo cute!! Mom and Dad named him Dylan. I got to be there for the birth. Unbelievable! I also found out that I will be opening for the 2011 Dodge Rock N Roll 1/2 Marathon. You can check out my news page for more information. Yesterday was September 11, 2011..the 10th anniversary of the attacks on our Country. I was not even a year old at the time but my parents tell me that it was a very sad day. Now, I see the images and its hard to believe that something like this happened during my lifetime. What a tragedy! We owe so much to those who sacrifice to keep us safe..WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!
I have some exciting news to share..I will be performing some of my originals alongside 3 of the writers & friends I have had the privilege to write with in Nashville..Brian White, Sherrie Austin and Jenny Gill. It will be on Oct 25 at The Listening Room in Nashville. I hope to see you there!! =)

Hey Guys! Let me tell you all of the amazing things that have happened since we last talked. I performed in my very first writer in the round in Nashville, at The Listening Room, with some of my favorite friends and writers (Sherrie Austin, Brian White and Jenny Gill). It was amazing! Thanks guys! :) I have a couple new songs that were written while I was in Nashville. I can't wait to share them with you.
You won't believe this...when I got home, Taylor Guitar had a beautiful brand new Taylor guitar sent to me to play. I love it soo much! There is just something about it that makes it very special to me. Thank you soo much Taylor Guitar!!!
I have been wanting to see Taylor Swift in concert for a while now and so I finally did a week ago when my family and I went to Charlotte, NC. It was great...it would be so much fun to put together a concert like that!
Well, tomorrow is Thanksgiving and we all have so much to be thankful for. I hope you enjoy hanging out with the ones you love. All of my family and extended family will be over for our thanksgiving feast (yum yum). Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
